One day in November 1964, we were dreaming about our future home when a small ermine (hermine) emerged from a hole and ran in front of us; it was completely white (blanche), a good omen for the coming snow...and that’s how we chose the name of our chalet : “L’Hermine Blanche.”

     In 1965, our home began to take shape and we moved in permanently in the spring of 1966. The first phase of works necessary to welcome guests was finished in 1968, and since then we haven’t stopped expanding the Hermine Blanche : what started out as a holiday hostel before evolving into a family auberge is now a wonderful chalet-hotel that’s appreciated by the many guests who some back to stay with us every year.

Every winter since opening, the little white ermine (our hermine blanche) comes to see us.
